shocking price of glasses

I have GPA and have facial pain across bridge of nose managed by medication daily. Some days after work (computer based) I can’t wait to take them off (I only work two days due to GPA).

I have to have rimless varifocals to get the least weight for my glasses but I’ve just been charged £445 for this new pair. I don’t qualify for benefits so can’t get financial help with these, which seems a tad unfair Scotland). Thankfully I can afford them. I’ve also undergone months of dental work due to problems arising from medication. Hay Ho. Happy Days. At least I’m in remission. Happy and Healthy Christmas everyone.

I have Relapsing Polychondritis which particularly affects the nose! My first symptom was pain when I wore my glasses. There are a variety of light weight frames and thinned glass to reduce the weight. Shopping around can help but as we get older with more complicated prescriptions unfortunately this is reflected in the cost.
