Hi, is it normal for your blood pressure to be all over the place when you start reducing prednisone? I’ve been on 60mg since November and have reduced down to 20mg in past 4 weeks. I’m seeing side effects and wondered what anyone else with GPA had experienced. Thanks.

Hi yes my blood pressure has been all over the place while reducing so my gp upped my blood pressure medication to try & stabilise it,I'm currently down to 15mg having been on higher doses for the last 15 months
Steroids cause the blood pressure to go up. You would expect the blood pressure to reduce when you reduce your steroids. Your blood pressure medication may need reducing.
