Go to the ED/A&E and ask for advice. If it were the pred it is unlikely it would be so one-sided and chest pain should always be investigated - even if it is not central.

Any signs of mold or water damage at home or in your workplace? That will trigger asthma symptoms and chest pain with it.

I had something similar in 2017, was painfull breathing in like a sharp pain. CT scan revealed a "dark mass" around my heart and lungs.....they said this was fluid in the cavity where the heart and lungs are and there was so much there it was preventing my lungs expanding fully hence the pain which in turn was putting undue stress on my heart. They put a pipe in and did a pericardial effusion and drained off over 1 and a half litres of fluid like very dark blood. This made it a lot easier to breath but gave me an erratic heart beat so was put on beta blockers fir about 8 months. They investigated the fluid but came to no conclusion but suspected it was due to the vasculitis. I have GPA by the way, mainly in ears and sinuses. After this episode they stopped Cyclophoshamide infusions and tried a couple of oral ones before putting me in Rituximab as they suspected kidney involvement too.
