Rheumatoid Vasculitis

My husband was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Vasculitis two years ago. I am sure he has had it longer. He was very, very poorly and hospitalised after eventually being correctly diagnosed. He is currently on prednisolone, sulfasalazine, gabapentin, hydroxychloroquine and rituximab infusions (quarterly). He was on methotrexate but it did not agree with him.

He is constantly tired, has headaches, tummy and joint aches. He is also sick occasionally, has diahorrea and has the rash on his legs. He also suffers with painful feet. I worry so much about him. He still works and I don't know how he gets the strength to get out of bed every morning, but he does. I think this keeps him going. He does see a specialist/nurse regularly.

I am still learning about Vasculitis and would be grateful if anyone could please let me know if anything could help with the sickness and headaches. I would appreciate any advice at all which would help him. Thank you so much :)

Sorry to hear about your husband I'm in the same boat, WG etc anyway your husband is highly toxic so best to watch diet, my wife juices and makes me juice too and it helps and a little gentle exercise such as walking.

Thank you so much for your reply. Diet is definitely a big thing and we are still trying to work out what causes a flare. He steers clear of white foods now as this really upsets his tummy. He goes off to work with a tub of mixed fruit as that's all he can tolerate. I will definitely start juicing!!!!!

All the best to you :)
