Please could those who have used Travel Insurance Companies share details of any companies they would recommend?
Also, has anyone had to make a claim to a Travel Insurance Company and been successful?

Hi, I had a fried who travelled to Europe with a heart condition and used Euro tunnel Travel Insurance. He had a heart attack while there and said they were excellent with there help and repatriation.
Their policy only requires you to get doctors permission to travel and they need no other details. You don't have to travel with them to use there Insurance.
We have used Staysure a number of times. They wouldn't cover me for a short trip to the US this year so used Insure and Go.
The only claim I have made was with Staysure when we had to cancel a holiday as my father died. They paid up without a problem.

I have used Stay Sure many times now and find them very helpful when you ring them,
i have been refused by other companies because of certain other illnesses i have. Its STAY SURE for me .......
I usually use moneysupermarket.com where you can compare quotes for travel insurance for pre-existing conditions. I have used Insure and Go a couple of times and they did insure me before I had a diagnosis when no other company would. I haven't had to claim.
Not long come back off a cruise to the canaries for a two week holiday, thought that my GPA would have been an issue to get insurance cover but I chose saga holiday annual cover without any problems. Told what my diagnosis was and even then the cost of cover for me and my wife was £220. Didn't mind that at all, and now I don't have to worry whenever I feel like traveling. Recommended.
I have used Insure & Go for many years , luckily never having to make a claim. A friend did have major problems in Cyprus resulting in a three week hospital stay. Insure & Go were excellent and paid up without any quibble.
I used travel@insurancechoice.co.uk who were excellent. No claim, but friend used them and had huge claims and they paid up promptly.
My wife fell seriously ill with pneumonia in the USA and a month and nearly $1million later Insure and Go repatriated her to the UK in a private Lear jet and paid the hospital bill in full! Absolutely no quibbles and very helpful and reassuring (Irish) staff at the claim end. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Cover cost £60 for the year.
A company called Revitalise, formerly The Winged Fellowship Trust, probably know of somewhere. Other wise do you have a good broker, in your area-preferably an independent.
Thank you for all your relies, this is all very useful information

Hi I used, allclear. I Googled insurance companies with previous health conditions.
It cost me 30 or 50 I forget, for 10 days for Africa and Asia - single trip.
I hadn't needed to claim so unsure exactly how brilliant they are.
