I have a paid Flexplus account with Nationwide Building Society. I pay £13 a month and it includes insurance for mobile phones, car breakdown cover and travel. There is a supplement to pay if you’re over 70, and/or have some pre existing conditions. I compared it to a Staysure quote and it was reasonable even if paying monthly. I claimed once about 10 years ago - a small amount for a doctor’s visit and have used the breakdown cover a couple of times.

I also have the nationwide flex plus account which includes the travel insurance, had to pay extra to cover my GPA and prostate cancer but price was reasonable against others. I have had to make a claim when I was diagnosed with GPA , I took unwell in France and spent 6 weeks in intensive care, they were very helpful and supportive for my wife who had to stay in a hotel for the 6 weeks. They covered the hotel costs and food budget. They also arranged and covered repatriation back to the uk once I was out of hospital

I have nationwide flex account too. I also pay extra for my GPA . The price is good and I usual extend my cover for 6 weeks travel for each trip away.

hiya, I’ve found Nationwide flex the best by far, £13/month gets me worldwide travel + £53 for GPA to be included, best of the rest without GPA was £313. In addition full European car breakdown and mobile phone cover, so for me the travel insurance alone was quids in. I don’t have anything other than GPA so might just be I got lucky and I’m under 60.

Good luck, I’m hugely looking forward to travelling again this year after 2 years rubbish health, Rituxumab and Hammersmith hospital have turned my health around, huzzah!

I used Avanti which listed my GPA. Luckily did not have to use them but they came out cheaper than stay sure. I used Staysure the first time but then read someone had a bad experience with them which out me off using them again. Hope you sort & get to have a wonderful holiday which we all need.
