Hot Flushes/Sweats - Possible Helpful Product.

Hi All,

I notice that a lot of people are having hot flushes either to do with their Vasculitis or the menopause etc?

I have recently been told by a friend about a product called Menoforce. This is a product primarily for menopause symptoms of flushing and hot sweats, however I'm sure many of us can benefit from it. As I suffer(ed) quite badly with these symptoms I started taking it (one a day, obtainable from any Pharmacy). I'm absolutely bowled over with the results! I've only been taking it for a week and my night sweats have stopped completely and the daytime ones are definitely reducing. I cannot tell you how grateful I am because it was SO debilitating for me.

Please note that I AM NOT advocating this product for EVERYONE. I just thought that I would be remiss to NOT let other sufferers know of something that could help.

There shouldn't be any problem since it is just sage extract. However, as a herbal remedy it is not subjected to any regulation or clinical trials - so there is no evidence or information about how it may interact with other medications. This isn't a "don't use it" warning, it's just to point it out. We always tell people to check with a pharmacist before taking any supplements or such remedies.

Update on this: My Rheumy (well actually the pharmacist) has told me NOT to take this product as it can cause, amongst other things, convulsions and toxicity.
