Hi, I was diagnosed with Wegeners/GPA in 2010. Initially lungs and sinuses, quite severe, induced for 18 days. I'm based in Ireland. I've done the whole gamut of treatments. Presently on mycolat, pred and the rest. Recently I have experienced sudden hot itchy fingers and similar with my ears, not the inner ear but the external part i.e. the Gary Lineker part No discolouration other than red from scratching and rubbing hands at the time. Also, experienced in my foot a few times but ears and fingers in the main. Was strimming out the back today and my cheeks felt really hot. Seems to be triggered I think by temperature, both hot and cold. I do have some neuropathy on one foot but don't think this is related. Not a showstopper by any means but interested to know if it is indicative of something that requires attention. Will run it past my GP but to be honest this place I find excellent for anything vasculitis related.
All the best
Mike

I have had the same problem. Horribly itchy fingers and ears, plus ankles and toes. Do have neuropathy. This itching is considered part and parcel of MS, which has been much better of late.
Thanks. I was on Warfarin for six months initially due to clots in lungs because of being induced for a fairly lengthy period. Hope all goes well Ruadh.
Hi Mike. I have egpa but also go through periods of insane itchiness..can be anywhere..ears, fingers, tip of nose and also rashes. Dont know if that helps but itchiness goes with the territory for me at least and is also a side effect of most of the drugs. One thing is unless I have a rash the itchiness tends to last for short periods of time before moving on to an another random part. I find what works best for me is a good slather of non prescription tea tree cream. Stuff works wonders.
Hi, I also get extreme itching mainly in my feet where I do have neuropathy. However, I do get woken up by extreme itching all over my body, which I assume is temperature related, as I am often bright red. I assumed it was either medication related or because I have neuropathy. 😊
