Hi, First ever post. Pain a 10 in shoulder 1 month. Past history; cortisone inj. no longer work, 7 weeks out knee revision/TKR when shoulder compromised by heavy use. Osteoa& rh- arthritis. Being RN a bad thing as understanding MRI a given with research.. Anxious upon reading avascular necrosis vs benign vs malignant area suggesting repeat MRI 3 months.

Dear M735,

I understand that you are very worried, and that is putting it mildly, about your condition. Now please understand that I am, definitely not, unsympathetic/uncaring but.....Slow down cowboy! You give very little, if any, background information, about yourself or your history-apart from a whole, somewhat garbled list, right at the end of your post. I have read this, far more than once, and am still rather 'in the dark', sorry.

Let me tell you something about myself. I collapsed with, an 'uncategorised' ANCA vasculitis, nearly eighteen years ago. I was rushed to UCH Hospital London (I was living there at the time) and was given hours to live but being the 'awkward/stubborn' person I am I had other ideas, regarding dying. I subsequently had a Kidney transplant, in July 2013, following four years of dialysis. There are, a few, more 'bits & pieces' but that is basically my story.

Now without being, in any way whatsoever, 'funny'/rude/p. taking do you see how I related my story? Yes I WAS scared, half to death-at times-also confused, over whelmed (who wouldn't be). So yes, believe me, I do know how you are feeling. Without being rude-alright maybe a 'bit'-I was shit fucking scared! I did have the support of my family-my mother mainly-which clearly helped me greatly. Do you have a close family member/friend that you can rely on?

Anyway please do look after yourself and TRY (easy to say) not to worry too much.

It only remains for me to welcome you aboard the 'Good Ship Vasculitis'- hope you enjoy the ride. (ME cynical...Never!)

Kind wishes AndrewT
