The following therapies alone or in various combinations have worked for me:

1. white / green / brown noise masking

2. Diazepam 5 mg as required

3. Chiropractic or osteopathic neck manipulation

4. Shoulder and neck massage

5. Relaxation exercises

6. Avoid exposure of neck, head and shoulders to cold weather

7. Avoid stressful situations

8. Avoid loud noises, especially impact noises

9. Avoid certain antibiotics … check contra indications

10 . Avoid aspirin or associated salicyates
