Highly suspected the reason of my tinnitus

I suddenly remember after one time i get some throat spray into my ears then i got tinnitus months ago

And then i searched the ingredients

Which is below

Ototoxicity can occur from certain medications - and i think u said u have no hearing loss. Having an idea of the cause can help u eliminate possible other causes , or sometimes its a combination of causes . Many people never really know the cause but regardless of the causes , the treatments are exactly the same : sound therapy and CBT. Also pay attention to yr diet and reduce sugar, salt and caffeine and avoid or reduce foods with additives

My T is really bad as it reacts to noise and goes up and I also have hyperacusis (noise sensitivity) , its really difficult to habituate . My T has gone up madly today, after a walk along a beach yesterday with loud waves

Does your T goes up with NOISE ?? - like walking along busy road with lots of traffic or other general noise

There is no proof that food does anything to Tinnitus.

I'm not convinced that a spray in your ear canal would cause tinnitus. I'm not a doctor but would imagine that an ototoxic substance would have to work on your inner or middle ear to cause tinnitus.

I m not sure too but liquid couldnt penetrate eardrum to middle ear innit

Respect your opinion it shouldnt be so dangerous to penetrate the eardum in there just by otc throat spray

Again, Mathew, this is assuming that what you are concerned about is actually what has happened. The research you referred to in your original post does not relate to the situation you have described to us.

At the risk of seeming harsh, manufacturers of pharmaceutical throat sprays may not be envisaging that their customers are going to spray these products into their ear canal, if that isn't the purpose they were designed for.

Mathew, the research which you've quoted refers specifically to ear surgery and the act of exposing the middle ear to an antiseptic which may lead to deafness:pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/224....

As you haven't previously mentioned hearing loss in your posts, is it possible that you've misconstrued what that research is saying? It's an incredibly small sample size of 12 studies, dating from 2011, which mainly focuses on animal testing models rather than human case studies.

Reading the conclusion made by the researchers, unless you're having ear surgery with this specific antiseptic in use, is this likely to be a problem that you're going to encounter? Accidentally spraying a throat spray into your ears once doesn't seem to be the same kind of scenario explored in this research.

No my hearing test is fine no hearing loss, so in general most sore throat or nasal spray should be alright coz of ENt all in tunnel
