How will these affect each other? Will the HRT interfere with the Carbimazole? Will blood tests be affected in any way? Should they be taken at separate times?
Thank you.

Hi sorry I dont know the answer but I do hope someone will or can answer it for both of us. I am 43 and suffer with period problems plus I have Graves and I am on carbimazole.
Hope an answer is forthcoming.
Thank you for replying. I am on the fifth month of HRT. I tried to wait until I was as sure as I could be what the symptoms of the Graves and side effects of the Carbimazole were before I started HRT so I knew which belonged to which, as the menopause came at the same time as Graves.
The HRT helped with the residual hot flushes and sweats I was having (and err other intimate problems) so at least I know they were menopausal symptoms and not Graves.
I also have Grave the same time as menopause my dr will not give in and give me HRT ..the menopause is horrible and with graves on top of it .. I try to take every day a second at a time ..it is a nightmare at times
Did he give a reason why? I have very recently changed my HRT regime (as I am putting on weight and feel it is due to the Oestrogen) to a Progesterone only. Have been on it for about a week and no flushes as of yet!
