Golden Eye has a faulty batch. I know I have use it when Lacrilube doesn't seem to help my gritty eyes. Better safe than sorry. Think there is a problem with the seal on this batch.

Thanks very much for this. Just to say I use Lacrilube at night but Boots/Moorfiields recommended these for use during he day Celluvisc 0.5% w/v unit dose (so it keeps a sterile as possible), (Carmellose sodium).
They cost around £10 for 30 vials but hey really help.
Thanks Maddie I have soo many issues with the GP at present it's at the bottom of the list - they are expensive so I will ask her.. thanks much! ( I have medical exemption).
Re golden eye didn't they remove it and re formulate as it had mercury in it???
Sorry, don't know about Golden Eye. If you have been using their antibiotic eye drops then ask your gp for antibiotic ointment/drops.
I only use prescription products for my dry eyes. As well as Celluvisc I also get Oxyal.
Lacri-Lube is also available on prescription.
If your gp is difficult about prescribing then ask what they are allowed to let you have. There are a lot of products in the BNF (British National Formulary) the GP's prescribing manual.
My doc told me today that the cause of my dry eyes, mouth, throat, nether regions was taking the amitrytilene prescribed about a year ago by another doc. in the practice. It does seem to help me sleep, but I have had the dry eyes etc. for some time now. She suggested I should buy some antihystamine drops for my eyes!
