Has anybody seen or seeing Dr Colin Dayan at the Bristol Royal Infirmary

No - I have not seen him, but in case it is of interest, he seems to a professor in Cardiff (as well as consulting in Bristol).

Thanks for replying. Coincidentally I received a 1st appointment with him today for the 14 November. Have you seen him?

I have been under the care of Dr Peatfield since June this year, but not getting anywhere at the moment. Dr Dayan will be the first endo I've seen, so a bit nervous about it. I was diagnosed with M.E in 2000, but convinced I have a thyroid problem, which Dr Peatfield has confirmed including adrenal problems. Previously seen Dr Skinner, but not reacted well to thyroixine.

HI heyjude, I have not seen Dr Dayan yet. My GP wrote to him 1st of august at bristol but he only works in whales now .The earliest he will see me is next may/june. I live in North Devon and it will be a long trip. I was never good on T4 and now on 80mg T3 only and feeling a lot better but not perfect. I was seeing an Indian locum consultant (he told me about Dr Dayan) but he does not want to see me anymore. Now I have no one to talk to?.My GP is a very good alround but knows nothing about T3. If you can get on T3 and take a tablet at 4 to 5 am it will help to heal the adrenals . Treat yourself to Paul Robinsons book. With this book I am treating myself. Thanks Nigel. I've got Paul's book. I sometimes go to to the Bristol Support group and Paul was there once and gave a talk.

Hello. Really weird as I just received an email from endo consultant I saw in London, who asked my doc to put me on small dose levo as high antibodies,rising tsh in 2005. He gave me Colin Dayans name to enquire about appointment. Just looked up the site sent you by 'helvella' and says he is prof at institute of molecular and experimental medicine at Cardiff University School of Medicine. I have seen endos in Cardiff University Hospital, but was signed off still with all original issues but I am going to ring today and find out if he will do consultations. CFS? 1991 and then since suffering severe anxiety in 2005 saw endo in London. Visited Peatfield, Skinner, Myhill. All said thyroid, but not sure levo helped at all. Have more severe symptoms since menopause. Are you seeing him in Cardiff, I live there. I hope you get some help

I am trying to get an appointment with dr Dayan but my go who has written says can’t do under Nhs as he is in wales. Happy to see him private if I have to. Any info on him would be greatly appreciated. Needs T3 ( combined at moment which seems to work )

When I saw him 5 years ago he didn't do private consultations, only NHS
