I don't think your thyroid is 'ok' your TSH was on high side and fT4 not that high.

If you are not yet diagnosed see what I said in my other post to you, if you are treated then you are under-treated as you are still symptomatic.

your results here are ok, although the cholesterol can do with being reduced, try to eliminate as much grains/sugars from diet, not to eat too much dairy and have healthy proteins and healthy fats ie olive oil instead of vegetable oil butter instead of margarine :) (yes butter is ok, it's the grains/sugar that do not help)

Hi nbd - is butter OK now then ? I love butter but try not to eat it and have Bertolli light instead. Would I be better off with butter then :) ?? xx

what is 'bertolli light'? if it's made of olive oil it's ok, however you are better off with butter than any vegetable mixture/margarine type spread x

Clarebear, from a Weston Price believer:

Why use butter? Well, butter just so happens to be the highest available source of fat soluble vitamins A and D. Butter also contains butyrate which is used by friendly bacteria to produce short-chain fatty acids (energy). Butter also contains a fatty acid called Conjulated Linolenic acid (CLA). This fatty acid has gained recent attention for its ability to retain muscle mass and burn fat. Also, butter helps improve the digestabity of certain foods including fats, vegetables, and protein. So, have your vegetbales and don't forget the butter!! This goes to show you that the margarine industry will say ANYTHING to get you to buy their product.

A note on oils: Cocout oil and palm oil are the only 2 tropical oils that I would use. But, not the grocery store variety. The only approved coconut oil and palm oil for health improvement is made by Omega Nutrition. These oils are NOT bad for us and they even improve health. Coconut oil is the ideal oil for cooking because it has such a high heat threshold.

Hi Part 2! Cholesterol not too bad, depends on your risk factors! It does normally improve if you have thyroid treatment. Oats and an apple a day really lower the cholesterol. Sodium is a bit on the high side, That and calcium ( magnesium and Potassium) are electrolytes and must be in range, especially important for kidneys and heart.Calcium is ideal, if it is the corrected Ca, it should be 2.2. to 2.6 and definitely not over. With that Ca result you would be safe taking vit D, if you need it. Vit D takes at least 3 months to alter the blood.

Best wishes,

Jackie
