My hair has lost it's life. It's gone dull, flat. I recently was overdosed on levothyroxine and went 'overactive'. My hair has not been right since. Has anyone found any natural remedies or others, to help?!

Bad hair remedies?
Hi When I was not treated for hypo ,my hair was terrible, I kept loosing it etc. Like yours too. I saw a specialist dermatologist, he said that there really is not treatment only chemist products etc that make it look better and are very expensive. however, as he thought, after several years of treatment and on iron ( possible cause) it improved a lot.
I hope this is some help/ consolation to you.

After eleven years on thyroxine, my hair has suddenly become dry, brittle and breaking off,
It is probably because I too have been on too high a dose....150, just reduced to 150....so watch this space for any improvement.....Im sure we wont go bald..!
Well, it's early days but have just used Nioxin for the third time having seen the recommendations on here.
I've been like a moulting dog, hair all over the house as well as in the plug hole. To be honest, I was getting upset and it made me feel rubbish.
You're supposed to use the conditoner every time you wash but I'm carrying on with alternate washes. There's also a spray to be used when hair is towel-dry.
Shampoo is pretty concentrated so you don't need much but the conditoner is the opposite. Bottles are fairly small so it's definitely not a cheap exercise.
Will blog again!
Thanks i'll look into that. I might try egg yolks. My hair is fairly thin, but the problem now is it is dry and dull. It seems to have lost its healthy look.
I used to have lovely shiny hair. Now I am the human hay bale!! Nothing seems to improve it. Have resigned myself to it really. At least I have some hair lol xx
Love the human hay bale description!!
The other thing that I'm doing is minimal combing. For example, I comb my hair when washed and don't comb it again til the next time it's washed which is normally two days later.
It does take some self-control, I just run my fingers through it and tell myself that it must be kinder for my hair compared to combing several times a day. One obviously needs to feel comfortable looking slightly dishevelled!!
