So I am seeing dr S tomorrow..

This happened unexpectedly. Gp finally wrote the referral, nice receptionist at my surgery faxed it over to Dr S office in B.

I have received a phone call and here it is, a free spot tomorrow due to someone's cancellation.

Appointment is booked and I just hope that I won't get disappointed this time.

I am very sceptical about all doctors, due to my chronic bad experiences with them.

However I wish to stay hopeful and fingers crossed the money that I have manage to put aside from my benefits will be well spend!

Wish me luck.

I will give you a feedback tomorrow..

Best wishes to all :)

You must go with a free and positive mind and leave all your bad experiences in the past.

You can only judge after you have allowed yourself the time to get better. Doctors are not miracle workers and who you are going to see tomorrow will try his best to get you well. I am glad you've got a cancellation.

Look forward to your feedback.

Good luck.

Thank You :) I am trying to be positive, unfortunately I won't know anything until I try it. And shame on Public Healthcare for making people to go private :(

Thank you Galathea. My friend who is Scottish is going to be there with me. He will handle the accent and the sense of humour. :)

Just want to wish you luck. He is a wonderful Doctor and was the only one to listen to me and help me get better. It isn't a quick fix and you may have many ups and downs but you will get better with his support and guidance. Lots of love xx

This is great news. I know that you will be at ease with Dr S. Have you read his book?

His secretary posted his book to me and I read it the night before I saw him. It is a really good read.

Hope you can come along to my next support meeting. I think it will be Saturday 9th March.

I look forward to hearing how you got on.

Good luck x

Thank you for good wishes Suze:) If I feel strong enough I would love to come for the meeting.

I haven't read dr S book yet. It happened so quickly (within 24h) the referral and appointment booking, so I didn't have a chance to ask for it.

I hope to get the book and read it soon.

I will let you know how did it go.

no no no, I cancelled without knowing Edysia was waiting to see him :D LOL

I can't take credit when I'm not due! :)

I remember Edysia posting about seeing Dr P but did not know Edysia was waiting to see Dr S :D

I cancelled as I was going to see him to review things as I was having some hiccups but 'hiccups resolved' and so I called him to say I think it's not necessary to change anything and will see him as planned originally in August :)

Being open and receptive is the best tool we have for healing our bodies. It probably has taken a long time for you to be as poorly as you are at present and the journey to complete wellness could take as long. So enjoy each stage of your improvement and keep looking forward...am sure you will experience many good things quickly after your visit to Dr S.

It was meant to be that your referral and appointment came so quickly - so grab it with both hands. We look forward to reading your subsequent posts. You are on your way !

I predict you will leave his surgery with a relieved smile on your face. I hope you have the same positive experiences that I've had with him. #lifesaver

He is a lovely caring man, I have seen him twice now, But remember it is not an instant fix but the fact he cares and is able to prescribe what ever dose of whatever is needed in itself is brilliant after experiences we all have with NHS!

Edysia, great news! Will he be receiving all your results from former doctor? See if you can take a look at them and hopefully he will have time to examine them with you. .
