Now he’s working privately I’m kind of assuming I don’t need to worry about anything, he’ll just go right ahead and fix me up! However, as I know life isn’t that straightforward (especially when you have Hashis!), is there anything I should ask or be aware of?
I keep telling myself this appointment doesn’t mean I’ll be instantly cured, it’ll still be a long haul ahead but I’m quite excited at the prospect of potentially feeling well again 🙏🏻

DR Toft is not the most consistant person in the world and I think tends to be quite blood test led.He has however recently been prescribing T3.I hope it goes well for you.
i went to a thyroid uk meeting in edinburgh where dr toft was a speaker and i found him to be very informative. he is very up to date with thyroid issues and is certainly not the same as your average endocrinologist. he takes into account how you feel, your symtoms etc and i am sure he will point you on the road to recovery. you will be in safe hands. hope you get well soon
I am not a fan.I contacted him about my child who has underactive thyroid and normal TSH and was told that 'there are no endocrinologists or even doctors who will treat someone with a normal TSH' and that I needed to look for another cause for his symptoms. This was a few months ago.He changes like the wind.
He has changed his tune a bit since he helped develop and over saw all the guidlines we are all struggling with and his support for T3 has only emerged since he went private and needs custom.
Sorry not a fan but hope you get on better than I did.
