results

Hi , had bloods done last week and results are saying large unstained cells are hi,also high are ALT/SGPT and basophil count is lo, cholesterol HDL 1.8 LDL4.3 ,had call to make appt with gp , tsh 1.47, was 0.36 last time, am wondering if steroid inhaler for my asthma which l,ve been on for about 3 months could have anything to do with results, now worrying after looking on computor at reasons for some of the causes of HI LO RESULTS anyone else had similar? on 75 mcg levo and read once on correct dose cholesterol may go down, any theories?

Hi Some of thsoe results are definitely liver, they may not matter but you may need an ultrasound for you liver. there are lots of liver tests ( LFT`s) so may depend on all of them. Also cholesterol can be liver. it really depends on all your other results. liver a wonderful organ so can manage most things, I have liver disease, never drunk! However although my blood tests are bad it is not too much of a problem. it does get very swollen. if a serious problem ask to see a Hepatologist. There are not many about ,so you need to go to a major hospital, if needed. A gastro is useless for liver, experience!!!I have asthma , the cortisone not absorbed much, I cannot normally have any cortisone because of heart but that is safe.I have been on quite high doses for thyroid for a very long time, not significant.

HI,JACKIE THANKS FOR ANSWERING MY QUERY , L FEEL SO DOWN AS L,M MORE OR LESS T TOTAL BUT AUTOIMMUNE ALSO HAVE VITILIGO AS WELL AS THE OTHERS MENTIONED ,L THOUGHT IF THEY GOT LEVO LEVEL RIGHT IT WOULD LOWER CHOLESTEROL ,HOPE IT WON,T BE ANYTHING AWFUL READ THAT YOU CAN GET AUTOIMMUNE HEPETITIS(MIND WORKING OVERTIME) SORRY YOU SEEM TO HAVE A ROUGH DEAL WITH YOUR PROBS. Hi Eve, It does take a while for cholesterol to improve. Are you sure your TSH T4 and especially FT3 are good?I have so many auto immune diseases , my Hepatologist says , " T%hey hang around together" Yes, I have Vitiligo, have for ages. it is on of the few auto immune that do not matter. it sounds to me possible ( from results ) that you could possibly have diabetes. Have you been tested recently Hb1ac and glucose?If worried a chemist does a prick test, but do not eat for 2 hours before that. Mine was 50 originally, ideal 4 to 6 ! Actually I had auto immune Hepatitis , very ill , yellow , vomiting etc. seeing a gastro weekly ( lots of serious gastro problems) meant to be a top man and could not diagnose me,saw him 9 months like that!. I saw a new cardio for surgery, he just looked at me, did not know my symptoms and diagnosed it. ( Sacked the gastro!)So if yellow beware! I did not know there was an autoimmune hepatitis and I knew I could not have the others! or , I would have self diagnosed as I have to with everything, docs say I am too complicated and they think it is a big joke! Unfortunately I am always proved right! I would try having apples and porridge and no cream, cheese or butter , that should help the cholesterol as P and A actually improves cholesterol. It should be ok eventually.I hope this helps.

THANKS AGAIN, SEEING GP NEXT WEEK SO LIVE IN HOPE HE WILL HAVE SOME ANSWERS,IF DRS ARE ALLOWED TO SEND US FOR TESTS CUTBACKS HA HA, HUSBAND JUST HAD LETTER TO SAY TABLETS HE IS ON TOO EXPENSIVE AND WILL NOW BE GIVEN CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE, WHERE IS HEALTH SERVIS GOING ,HELL IN A HANDCART ME THINKS!!!! High cholesterol is linked to hypothyroidism and will go down with correct dose of meds. not too sure about the others

THANK YOU ,BEEN ON 75MCG FOR FEW MONTHS ,STARTED ON 25MCG THEN 50MCG THEN UP TO 75MCG TSH WAS 0.36 IN APRIL NOW GONE BACK UP TO 1.47 THE ONLY THING DIFFERENCE I DID,NT TAKE LEVO UNTIL AFTER B/TEST AS ADVISED FROM OTHERS ON THY/WEBSITE WOULD THIS ACCOUNT FOR THE TSH GOING UP? I KNOW HIGH/CHOL GOES WITH THYROID BUT WAS HOPING TO HAVE SEEN A CHANGE IN RESULTS SINCE BEING ON LEVO FOR TWO AND HALF YEARS. THANKS FOR REPLY.
