I was on Eltoxin for two months and my muscles couldnt cope, I was more fatigued and felt sick all the time, so I stopped them, my G.P has just phoned to discuss my medication, I didnt take the call as felt anxiousthat my blood test will be normal, hence I have stopped medication and I havent told her.
what now? I can not tolerate Eltoxin, I have just ordered the adrenal profile to see if that is fatigued.
I have started Magnesium and i am having results not lots but I slept well. Today totally exhausted only managed to peel the carrots, when I push my self i get more pain, anybody else experience this? well debating to phone surgery for my results, knowing my luck she will say i dnt need meds.
any suggestions?
kindest

On the British thyroid foundation website it says from the 8th October 2012 it was withdrawn because of manufacturing problems. There was a problem with 25mcg I'm not sure what other strengths as well but Eltroxin was definetly the brand. btf-thyroid.org/
Do ring your GP I don't really know enough to advise but I remember seeing about Eltroxin.
VanessaB is right about Eltroxin 25mcg and 100mcg being withdrawn. Tell your GP how you were and they should have been notified.
25mcg on the other hand is extremely small and whichever levothyroxine you are prescribed it will not relieve your symptoms. Doses should be adjusted every six weeks at the minimum till you feel better.
