Feeling very fatigued, joint pain, severe anxiety and depression (taking Sertraline for this), overall pretty rubbish. Was convinced I had Fibromyalgia as i have so many of the symptoms so went to the GP who did some bloods on Oct 2nd. Results came back, showed thyroid levels were low. Had more bloods done Oct 16th (Monday just gone) and results came back today, everything now in the 'normal' range so now I'm stumped. Is my thyroid working as it should or not??
Will attach screenshots of the results.

Well, they may be within the so-called 'normal', rubbish range, but they are far from 'normal'. You TSH is too high and your FT4 is much too low - percentage-wise, it is lower in range than your FT3, which in itself is abnormal, and shows your thyroid is failing. In fact,t there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said in your last post.
Did you mention Secondary Hypo to your doctor? The possibility - or rather the probablity - still stands because your levels are still not right.
Hope you can feel better soon Mummybear. It’s very hard to look after yourself when you have little ones but you’re in the right place for people to guide you with good advice to get you back to where you want to be with your health.
As Greygoose has said, your thyroid appears to be slowly failing. I had the same experience with all the symptoms but normal range TSH. A year later I started experiencing severe cold and dizziness and my TSH squeezed to just above the range. Fortunately my doctor started me on levothyroxine even though I was nowhere near TSH of 10.
So, my point is, it probably is your thyroid causing these issues. You’d be lucky to get a doctor to give you levothyroxine on these results (might be worth pursuing the secondary hypo route), but get blood tests regularly and be pushy as soon as TSH above range, or FT4, FT3 below. You will resolve this in time.
Hi Mummybear. I'm very much in the same situation. Your results are similar to mine. I'm also stuck with an array of debilitating symptoms, normal TSH and lowest T4.
Paid privately to see an endocrinologist who said the symptoms were not to do with my thyroid despite my blood test results. (I'm TPO negative/no antibodies.) Yet, one week later at thyroid ultrasound scan, the radiologist doctor said I categorically have autoimmune thyroiditis and a damaged thyroid gland. So, for many of us, the blood test route for diagnosis is letting us down, meaning we get more and more ill over time.
I'm waiting to see my GP and preparing for the next battle to get treatment.
Also, looking into central hypothyroidism and my pituitary function.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sorry you're going through all this though.
I'm going to see what this next lot of results show and speak to the GP. If they are reluctant to do anything would it be a good idea to push for a referral to an endocrinologist?
