The blood test says TSH 2.5 from 1.6 - that's fine and 'normal', but you might have ME - what? Am I supposed to think that it's just a coincidence that I've had a partial thyroidectomy? I did ask for T4 even T3 & antibody tests - hell no! Keep smiling
(tried to add tags but then I just lose the text/plot!)
unbelievable but sadly not surprising. See a different doctor! After having part of your thyroid removed surely they are not just going to go by your blood test results?!?!
When you can next ask for a blood form (to take to your local hospital) I would mark these to be tested and your B12, ferritin and folate. I know this is naughty but this is how I have had extra things tested in the past. You could write in the comments Free T3 and Free T4 needed after partial thyroidectomy.
I had to push for a blood test as it's only been 2 months since my op, but the aches/pains in my arms and recently legs, tiredness, fog etc. are really starting to impact on work, I'm struggling - I think a lot of folks here are too. I will ask to see an endo before she labels me with ME. Good idea about the form for the hospital - dare I?(BTW I didn't get tested til noon as they couldn't get any blood earlier!)
