I don’t feel ok, I am not on Medication but had half my thyroid removed last year. Some days I am so tired I can barely function. Ferritin folate and vitamin d were low but they are now resolved

On the face of it, those results are ok. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re optimal for you.

What are your ferritin, folate, B12 and Vit D results now?

Ferritin is 200 (13-150 range) (I had an infusion hense the high result)

vitamin d is 78 (50-175 range)

Active b12 92 (37.5-150 range)

As others have mentioned, at first glance these numbers look okay, but we do not know what your 'normal' thyroid levels were before you had your thyroid removed. So it is difficult to say.

Maybe your active B12 could be a bit higher - are you taking a good quality Vitamin B complex? I would also try to get the Vitamin D a bit higher, if you can get it to above 100nmol/L, that would be better. Are you taking a good magnesium supplement as well? This will help with the absorption of the B-vitamins as well as Vitamin D and it can assist with low energy levels.

I would definitely test the thyroid again in 2-3 months and see if anything has changed.

Hello, sorry you feel rough, how long ago was the infusion? I’m interested to know how fast your levels are dropping.

Heavy periods? Endometriosis? Fibroids?

Hectic/stressful life/work? Burn out/run down?

Blood sugar control? Are you a biscuit monster or sweet chaser? This was an eye opener for me.

It is always worth presenting to the endo unit that did your surgery to say you are struggling. My NHS endo recently tested my adrenals as a matter of course .

Could you be coeliac?

any of this ideas help narrow it down?
