We are sorry to let you know that RedApple and Helvella have stepped down from being Administrators on this community after many years of tireless voluntary service and dealing with the sheer volume of posts and replies over many, many years.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to both of them for all the hard work they have put in to help Thyroid UK and the many thousands of community members.

RedApple has been with us for many years (she actually designed our very first website) which allowed us to spread the word to more people.

Helvella’s extensive database of information, collated in detail and meticulously checked and updated is used by many members and which they find invaluable.

I am truly grateful for all they have done for me, for Thyroid UK and our members.

Their ongoing knowledgeable contributions to the forum will always be very, very welcome

A huge “Thank You” and have a good retirement doesn’t seem quite adequate after years and years of their selfless voluntary passion to help and guide others to a better life. But I hope they know that the sacrifice was so appreciated and won’t be forgotten. 🤗

No one can argue that they’ve not done an amazing job for a very long time. All admins give freely of their time but Helvella and RedApple have gone over and above and that degree of commitment is hard to find.

I shall miss their good humour, wit and wisdom.

Glad that they’ll still be ‘popping in’ with ongoing contributions but I hope that they’ll be having some well deserved R&R.

Giving meticulous answers and compiling fabulous resources, despite vile and unjust challenges from ****ing scamming thieves lacking moral turpitude. You are wished ill, miscreants. For every thyroidy you have scammed, misinformed or dissed, a big fat poison arrow sent your way. It's way less than you deserve.
