Riedel's ?
Thank you. I’d never heard of it. Had a quick look and it definitely fits my sister who was never well from the age of 20. Her thyroid was never under control with doctors constantly changing her dose. She suffered with liver, kidneys, gall bladder, had yellow cholesterol lumps round her eyes and sadly Pancreatic Cancer took her at aged 58 years, 15 years ago. I’m not ill like she was but definitely worth looking into perhaps private tests. Thank you 🙏
Your profile says you know that cause is autoimmune thyroid disease
About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high TPO and/or high TG thyroid antibodies
Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s
Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.
Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.

Ord’s thyroiditis
Also known as Ord’s disease, this autoimmune condition is characterized by atrophy of the thyroid gland and hypothyroidism. It is very similar to Hashimoto’s disease, apart from the shrinking of the thyroid gland instead of the development of a goiter. Ord’s disease and Hashimoto’s disease have historically been classified as separate disorders, but research suggests that they may instead be different manifestations of autoimmune thyroiditis,
Apparently Riedel’s is also considered an autoimmune link, but thank you for pointing out that my profile says I already know I have autoimmune thyroid disease. I’ve never had a goitre and like others on here I noticed a change (thyroid gland rock hard) so posed the question.
I didn’t expect such a dismissive response from an administrator on here
