ultrasound thyroid scan

hello,

had my ultrasound scan of thyroid today

All healthy, no nodules, blood flow good, right size and shape.

so nothing functional going on that would explain symptoms and my results

The blood test results.

TSH 2.73 range 2.02-4.43

FT4 0.907 range 0.93-1.71

FT3 1.38 range 2.02-4.43

TPO 28 range 0-60

CRP 1.45 Feb 2024 CRP 1.9 Feb 2025 so low level inflammation for year rising

so all pointing to central hypothyroidism

Feeling very worried got my NHS doctors Fri and I feel like he is going to tell me to go away.

But I am feeling relief my thyroid is nice and healthy and nothing to worry about there.

also as I have been researching central hypothyroid

I came across piturity dysfunction and reason

I had meningitis at 3 and was quiet poorly

Wondering how many people had this as child and maybe developed thyroid and hormonal dysfunctions in adult like?

Hey there, good work getting the scan sorted, I’d definitely pursue central hypo, and follow greygoose and SlowDragon previous advice.

For handling GP, I would focus on one thing you want to address. write down all symptoms, note down your complex childbirth experience and heavy bleeding these are known to affect pituitary. Know in advance what you want to walk out with. Eg 50mcg trial with review in 6 weeks and plan to increase to 75mcg. Keep to that.
