TSH sky high 69.7

Having a very high TSH like yours screams that you are extremely under-medicated for your lack of thyroid.
I assume you are taking these?
Nutri-meds do not contain any declared thyroid hormones. As the link says they are classified by the FDA as dietary supplements.
Our products are categorized by the FDA as whole-food dietary supplements, not drugs, either prescription or over the counter. We value our designation, and are therefore unable to make claims, medical or otherwise, for our products, and cannot address medical questions, nor make comparisons with medical products.
I find it shocking that someone without a thyroid is taking something with no declared thyroid hormones.
You really need either NDT (Natural Dessicated Thyroid) e.g. Armour, or Levothyroxine (T4), or Liothyronine (T3) all of which have a declared amount of thyroid hormones in them. You might need a combination of these rather than just one of them.
You need real thyroid hormones not supplements.
Can you tell us how you ended up on supplements only, instead of NDT/T4/T3?
I was taking a true thyroid hormone from a pharmacy in New York that was compounded but I am allergic to the lactose in it being a celiac. I may go back to them despite the cost and allergic reaction. Thanks for all responses. Even my cholesterol is up and my diet is good. Are you all saying NM not the best company? I have had doubts about them despite their website claims.
Also, I am allergic to all fillers in all the other meds. I have researched ALL of them off and on for years. WP Thyroid worked the best but we all know what happened to them. Was on Synthyroid for 20 + years but stopped working. Not sure why.
If you suffer allergies to fillers and excipients in drugs and hormones of any kind, you need to know about the USA website called "Dailymed" :
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DailyMed
It will give you ingredient information about drugs of all sorts (not just human drugs but animal drugs as well!) and it should allow you to find something that might suit you that a doctor or endocrinologist could prescribe, perhaps?
For some reason Dailymed isn't available right now but I think some USA government websites aren't available at weekend. So perhaps try and look at it during the week?
Good heavens. I have no thyroid (removed because of cancer). You can’t function like this.
Were you ever prescribed thyroid hormones?

Armour NDT is lactose free
Or look at lactose free levothyroxine plus small doses of lactose free T3
It's way too high. You have to get some thyroid asap. You don't want to be in a coma. Even though you have celiac, still use them while looking for a better option.
Thanks for this..wow scary..I will go back to my compounded. Also, are you all saying that NM is not who they claim to be. At $ 49 per bottle and bovine from Australia I question that price. All other companies have my allergins: mcc, starch, soy, ,etc. Over $100 plus shipping makes sense plus my temp. breaks 98.0°so going back to former. Been low as 95.0° with NM.
I don't know this product but if it's the glandular there is a like dehydrated thyroid in it, in it's supposed "natural" form. I think the best would be a solid prescription to always have your medication. Without a thyroid you will need medication.
Hi everyone,Tirosint has mcc of which I am allergic. Being a celiac is so difficult. I have researched so many out there that are true hormonal. Did great on WP as only 3 ingredients. But Rick Cox cheated.
So, back to compounded and he does help me with capping off the cap. But even compounded is unregulated....
Such an issue for me..so sad..
All have been so supportive but keep the advice coming..this is a great site like STTM...
Hi againDoes anyone know if Tirosint Sol is still available in US.. Saw online :"no ". Only 3 ingredients. Getting a new endo soon. GP did my blood work. Going over results Wednesday via telehealth. Concerned with TSH @ 69.7...Me, too!!
Neither Tirosint nor Tirosint SOL has microcrystalline cellulose as an ingredient.
Ok..Will discuss with my new endo asap...Thanks much...
"Myxoedema coma" is one of the poorest named issues. It doesn't always mean falling into what most of us would imagine as being a coma. That is, unconsciousness as a prime feature.

Myxedema and Coma (Severe Hypothyroidism)
This is indeed a great forum. If you also use STTM as a source of information, be aware that there are inaccuracies and misinformation on STTM.
Each to his own, but it’s generally not looked upon favourably by many members here.
Wow..thanks for that. I want to take a thyroid supplement to support my thyroid function in addition to my thyroid meds. Is one with iodine good or bad? B12?, Sea moss ? Iron?
Thanks in advance.
Iodine and sea moss aren’t recommended. B12 could help. Only take iron if you have iron tested before you start supplementing and a deficiency is identified.
The answer is really optimal thyroid hormones, with supplements Vit D, B12 and folate. Regular testing of all these
From your other post ...
Are you all saying then that Nutrimeds is only a supplement and does not contain the bovine hormones from Australia like they like state on website?
Nutrimeds is classified as a supplement. This isn't the same as saying that it has no thyroid hormones in it. It might have some or it might not, but it doesn't advertise how much it has. And because they don't say how much thyroid hormones they contain I wonder if they are variable. Or they contain a lot (which I would doubt), or they contain hardly any thyroid hormones (I think having hardly any hormones is more likely - but that is the major problem - without advertised levels of thyroid hormones everyone has to guess). How can the patient taking them monitor their intake of thyroid hormones without an advertised level of T4 and T3?
Tieosint tirosint.com/ or Tirosint-SOL tirosintsol.com/treatment/. No fillers. Have you ever Joined in with any of the ThyCa support groups? thyca.org/sg/ I feel it helps a lot when you can talk with others in the same boat. A lot of folks have trouble with fillers and have found the Tirosint or Tirosint solution helpful. Many have also found Levoxyl, which is lactose-free, to be a better alternative than Synthroid.
Getting your thyroid levels into line will help a lot with your cholesterol and overall health. Non-standardized glandulars aren’t going to do the trick. Theendoyou’re seeing might want to start you slowly to work ip to the dose you need. And it’s possible other thyroid meds didn’t work for you because you were under dosed - itcan be difficult to sort out symptoms at times.
