It means you are not on enough medication if your TSH is 52- have you got your latest blood test results complete with ranges and post here and someone will comment. Are you on levothyroxine? What dose?

I am not sure what you mean by your Pernicious Anemia being 17.6 because usually the B12 is tested in PA and it should be quite high as I assume you are on B12 injections.

Sorry meant to say a month before that my tsh was 17.16 and that I had been diagnosaed with PA at the same time.

Your TSH is still too high - if on medication you should aim to have a TSH 1 or below to feel well.

Hi Tina

Are you on thyroid meds?

What treatment are you on for your PA?

They should be testing T4, T3 and antibodies too really. Can you have some private testing done?

I'm on 150mcg levo and I have B12 injections every 4 mths and I'm off to see an endocrinologist on 7th feb and up to 6mths ago my thyroid was never a problem and I have been hypo for 18yrs and that was also when I found out I had PA (six months ago)

What you need is your Free T4 test result.

If you have not had a Free T4 test, get one BEFORE your endo appointment so the endo can see the result. Ask your GP as soon as possible. Otherwise the endo will ask for another test and you will have to await another appointment.

Hi Make sure you have had a TSH, T4 and free T3 test As impossible to tell with out these.Usually high TSH ( and weight gain) is linked to low Free T3.Most of us need T4 top third of range and Free T3 near the top, on treamtent to feel well.
