My 2 most recent thyroid hormone results below. At the December test I wasn’t using any thyroid hormone for around 8 weeks. I started metavive at 1 x met I and increased to 3 x met I by the time of the test. I’d stopped the day before the test as I was beginning to feel bad again. I don’t know if one day would make a huge difference but I don’t understand why both frees have reduced. Is it because tsh has reduced?

28/12/24

TSH 2.6 (0.27-4.2)

T4 13.1 (12-22)

T3 4.2 (3.1-6.8)

29/1/24 - same ranges

TSH 1.26

T4 11.1

T3 3.8

Please can you add a history to your profile. You have a lot of previous posts & it’s difficult to gather what is your diagnosing and what replacement you have had in past, what’s dose were you taking & why you stopped.

Once you add a history it means you don’t have to refer back.

FT4 & FT3 have dropped as you gone from using a replacement to a glandular. Metavive is a food supplement. Some find glandular helpful.

You’d expect to see your TSH rise, but as is often spoken of on this forum TSH can be unreliable for a multitude of reason.

Was testing as recommended?

How are your nutrients?

Thank you PurpleNails - at my December test I wasn’t using a ‘replacement’ I’d been off all thyroid hormone for around 8 weeks. I’ve also achieved higher frees using only metavive in the past, it’s NOT just a food supplement even although it’s sold as one. I think I’ve worked out why they’re lower. Thanks again.
