Hi all.My thyroid has really deteriorated over last few years. I had a brain heamorrage around 3 months ago and I'm sure that my thyroid has been affected.
What hasn't helped matters is that I was taking cholesterol for colitis which has also inhibited absorption. I've stopped taking them now.
I've asked for years for referral to endocrine but as my tsh levels are medically ok they have refused.
Just looking for recommendations to pay privately anywhere in UK.
Many thanks

With any recommendation that you get, it is advisable to complete further research yourself before making a decision.
It is a good idea to have thyroid blood tests (TSH, FT4 and FT3) alongside key vitamins (ferritin, folate, B12 and vit D) prior to your appointment. This allows you to discuss the results with the endo at the first meeting.
As it’s been a couple of years since you posted, consider starting a new post and share your thyroid blood test results/ symptoms with members, for further advice or support.
