Private Thyroid Blood Test

Hello,

I'm looking to find recommendations for private thyroid blood tests please.

I have been using Medichecks for many years, but the last 3 months I have had a LOT of problems with them. They don't seem to be willing to listen despite my complaints. I just been met with denials and borderline arrogance.

I've looked up some other blood test companies from TUK, but another big one seems to have awful reviews.

I'd like to find a new provider. My private Thyroid Doctor has recommended one, but I am not happy that he gets the results sent to him and not me. On that basis I'm not willing to use them!

If this is not allowed a post, please could anyone willing to share who they use send me a short message.

Thanks so much

franniebabes, I and many others use Monitor My Health for our routine testing. They offer Thyroid, vit D, B12 etc. at reasonable prices and I've found them to be very quick too.

Hi, does Monitor my Health offer results in traditional way (numbers with reference range) or just a graph please?

Recently I've been using One Day Tests who are fairly new and they have a blood draw office not too far from me. If you can get to one of their locations they include the price of the blood draw. Either that or they also do finger prick postal tests.

Their prices are competetive with Medichecks.

can I ask what the problems you’re been having with Medichecks are? I’ve had many over the years too.

Thank you

Sure. The Advanced Thyroid Tests I've had done have had the TSH tests missed off twice due to 'not enough blood in the vial'. Suspect considering they tested 8 other things! My vials were plenty full.

There have also been testing anomalies. Not just on my tests, but on a lot of the patients also with the same private practice. The faults lie with Inuvi Diagnostics. They've been so bad my Doctor no longer accepts results from them and has made this clear to Medichecks. They are denying it 🤦.

Thank you. That’s very interesting. I might well try somewhere else next time.
