TSH=0.75 (0.4-4.0)

6 WEEKS AFTER RAI

T4 10.5 (12.22

FREE T3=4.1 (2.5-6.0)

TSH =1.1 (0.4-4.0)

Would be really grateful for any answers on these results

Hey there again :

I have never seen blood tests so soon after RAI thyroid ablation - fas it is a ' slow burn ' treatment - the effects of which may not be seen / experienced for several months.

so these tests show that your TSH is slowly rising with your T3 and T4 levels slowly reducing

- which is to be expected and logical - and this pattern / sequence of events may likely continue over a period of months or until such time as you feel the symptoms of hypothyroidism and need to take some form of thyroid hormone replacement.

Hi again...Hmmm that's interesting...My Specialist has also told me that I won't need Levo and she will have me right by Christmas???

Well - I think it is a bit of a wait and see - you maybe lucky and find you do not need thyroid hormone replacement - it is early days.

Very important to maintain ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D as RAI is known to trash these core strength vitamin and minerals.
