8Latest results, not sure what to do now, please help!

Hi all,

I've just had some blood results after 9 weeks on an increase dose of 112.5mcg. Weeks 1-5 were okay, didn't feel any much difference particularly but I was managing to work again (part time from home).

Then I got a virus and it's completely knocked me out. I'm on my 4th week off work again and feeling absolutely awful. The viral symptoms have gone (and my blood test shows no inflammation?) but I feel so hypo, as bad as I did on 75mcg.

Extremely fatigued (lying down most of the day)

Flu like symptoms

Bad Hair loss

Sore throats

Headaches

Can't sleep

Depression/anxiety

I did the bloods in the hope that it might show my levels were still low with room for an Increase to 125mcg but now looks like my T4 is 85% through range and T3 56% (this has improved from 57% and 48%).

I'm not going to change anything until my next thyroid appointment in December. Maybe in 4 weeks my results will have dropped a bit.

When I see the private GP, I'm not sure what to do. She did suggest NDT or T3 if I'm no better. I've never felt well on Levo but I'm only just on a high enough dose to feel well? I weigh 88kgs so I would have thought I'd need a higher dose than 112.5mcg.

If my blood work shows I'm optimal on levo but I still feel terrible, doesn't that mean I need to change get to NDT or give it some more time?

Urgh, I feel so rubbish and can't cope with these constant back steps! Every time I think I'm getting somewhere, something comes along and knocks me right back down again.

(Nb, vitamin D dropped massively over the summer so I've upped my dose to 4,000 again)

Any thoughts appreciated x

which brand of levothyroxine are you using

Are you taking a daily vitamin B complex

Hairloss

Worth testing zinc and full iron panel

Do you feel worse in morning and improve by evening?

Suggests cortisol issues

Thanks SD, I'm taking accord and Wockhart (have been for most last 18 months) I've got another brand to try but I've not swapped yet Yes take Ingennus b complex

Hair loss is a new symptom (like 4 weeks) since I've been unwell but yes i could test some more things.

Ref cortisol, no I feel terrible all day. I did have a low cortisol test in May and I've just done a blood draw for another one to see if it's that. Should get results tomorrow.
