Hi Folks.I am wondering if anyone on this forum is taking both Myo-insitol and Selenomethionine with Hashi's?
I have read several studies that have found people with Hashi's that have taken 200mg of Selenomethionine (organic soil based Selenium) and Myo-inositol together experienced reductions in antibodies causing positive effects on the condition.
If anyone is taking these, I'd be grateful of the thoughts on it
I'd be very interested to know what the 'positive effects' on Hashi's are of lowering the antibodies. Because as far as I know, TPO and Tg antibodis do not cause negative effects. Do you have any links to share?
Well, perhaps you could tell us some of the positive effects, then?
I did not know that! I have only seen Myo-inositol recommended for insulin and leptin resistance where some studies have shown promising results.
Just be wary of people who sell supplements, including naturopaths and functional doctors, and claim they can work all sorts of wonders.

It was based on medical studies

Could you please provide links, as my searches only result in PCOS and insulin and leptin resistance? It would be interesting to read studies about its effects on thyroid health (be it antibodies or something else).

Just Google the role of myo-inositol and Selenium on Hashimoto's and autoimmune disorders, there's several articles that come up.
Thank you. Actually, weight loss is becoming more of an issue these days even though I take T3 in the form of NDT, and supplement with the necessary vits etc. My age doesn't help (in the menopause) though, but if myo-inositol may help, I'm all for it. Thanks!
