Would I be able to get a private test blood draw at my nhs doctors surgery, if I bring the kit in?

Private blood draw
Probably not. You could phone GP reception and ask them.
Sometimes a phlebotemist has done a favour for someone when they are taking NHS bloods and also draw some blood to put in private vials but cannot guarantee this.
Different surgeries have different rules about this. Some will, some categorically won't. You need to ask your own surgery what their policy is on this.
The phlebotomist at my surgery has said they're not allowed to but if an extra vial appeared while she had her back turned .............. 😉
Possibly not, but your local main hospital phlebotomy department probably will. They usually hold a drop-in clinic early in the morning (7am at Shrewsbury ) where you just line up and they’ll do your blood draw in turns. It may cost you a nominal fee (I used to pay £5) but that’s fine.
I wouldn’t have thought so but you can always ask.
I’ve had mine done by asking nicely whilst getting my NHS one done - ie the needle is already in and she just adds the extra container at the end! At the moment I’m having them more regularly so am paying to get it taken at Superdrug - £40.
I’ve had a private draw done at my local NHS clinic. I asked my GP who said I should be able to do It so I called and booked an appointment and it was fine
