T3 Poor response

hello all, it feels a little if I am going in circles.

The final one being on t3 exclusively- 30mg @ 0430; 20mg @1030 and 20mg @ 1430 ….. if I take it any later I can’t sleep.

This has been gradually increased over time and the last month or so I have been feeling awful with the regular terrible symptoms.

The bloods above are from this dosage of T3

My private thyroid dr suggested I try 25mg of levo with 40mg Liothyronine (split)

I have tried different combinations of NDT and nothing has worked and Levo has never worked in the past so I was sceptical of this.

Although it was such a small dose I know my body now to start in even smaller doses, so I split the tablet and worked my way up to 25 mg. I felt over medicated!! In that I was anxious, couldn’t settle, was even more tied, couldn’t sleep. Heart rate etc was fine.

I have now halved the t3 and have settled down again.

I just don’t know where to go from here. My symptoms never improve significantly to lead a fulfilled live. I work part time as I have to financially and everything else I work up to and it leaves me drained. I go to bed at 8.30pm!!! And do absolutely nothing else

I cannot keep paying for the private dr, medication etc and just wondering to go on Levo exclusive and cut down costs, with slow increases I am tolerating better then I ever have! I know it’s only 25mg, but my now i normally have terrible symptoms.

I am struggling to write this so I hope it reads ok

Many thanks as always for any responses.

Emma

Which brand of T3

Is it lactose free

What were folate, ferritin and vitamin D at previous tests

Are these being retested as haemolysed

Hello@SlowDragon….my T3 is Thybon lactose free and Teva T4. I think historically I may have tried the T4 and NDT containing lactose. I seem to be extremely sensitive so this may have been a problem.

My folate etc has been optimal for some time…..this blood test was a finger prick and I just couldn’t get any blood for some reason.

Many thanks

Emma

Also, my B12 became high about a year ago. I don’t take a B supplement.

Have you any pearls of wisdom on my results please?

Many, many members find they need at least a daily vitamin B complex to maintain optimal B vitamins
