I have had two infections and been on antibiotics .my dose of levothyroxine had been changed from 100 to 75 a few months back which I know was the wrong thing for the doctor to do then and I suffered badly with hypo symptoms now it has been increased again .I am on increased dose for two weeks but keep getting a nervous shaky feeling in my body which takes a long time to settle .I dont know what it is .I am suffering and don't know where to turn .my bloods show I was definitely in nerd of the increase .I take weekly b12 and do my best to keep all vitamins up I had my folate checked at doctors and it was low at 5.9 could it cause this feeling ? Also iron and magnesium and potassium fine

I take weekly b12 and do my best to keep all vitamins up I had my folate checked at doctors and it was low at 5.9

Is that B12 injection weekly?

Low folate

Need a daily vitamin B complex

supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid)

This can help keep all B vitamins in balance and will help improve B12 levels too

Difference between folate and folic acid

Many Hashimoto’s patients have MTHFR gene variation and can have trouble processing folic acid supplements

B vitamins best taken after breakfast

Igennus B complex popular option. Nice small tablets. Most people only find they need one per day. But a few people find it’s not high enough dose

Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule) Thorne can be difficult to find at reasonable price, should be around £20-£25. iherb.com often have in stock. Or try ebay

IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 5-7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg) and continue separate B12

I've been through the same thing and found adrenal support was needed first off I'd suggest trying an adrenal cocktail which is basically orange juice, salt and cream of tartar (adrenal food)

Yes low folate will make you feel crappy too

It's your adrenals grumbling as they had to hold you up whilst your Levo dose was too low

Hopefully this helps, if not enough then adrenal cortex would be the next suggestion
