Gp just rang...🤔

A gp as just rang asking me to see her today at 4.45, I have no doubt this is in relation to the letter I wrote to the practice manager in the awful treatment I have received by the surgery concerning synthetic thyroid medication they have been pushing on me the last 5 years.

I think it would be prudent to mention the NTD I am now taking by roseway labs , I will obviously let her know that I'm 20 days in on the NDT and I've had no gastric issues or bad headaches no bad metallic taste infact nothing , I will also mention the representative I spoke to told me because my TSH is 45.66 and both my T3, T4 are very low it will take some time for the NDT to bring those levels in to range with an increase after 14 days from 1 grain to 2 grains which I started the 2 grains on Monday.

I will also mention that my son should not be buying my thyroid medication as I'm registered disabled and don't pay for my prescriptions.

Personally I really don't known what this gp can do for me other than send me to an nhs endocrinologist 🙄 I really don't think they grasp the idear endocrinologists in the nhs DONT pescribe NDT due to it being unlicensed 🤷‍♀️

So my questions will be ..."how are you going to rectify this situation as I can't keep letting my son pay for my thyroid medication"

There must be a way of getting me on the correct thyroid treatment and if that means giving me NDT then that must be investigated ASAP.

Is there anything else I should bring to this gps attention?

It’s great having one single aim for the appointment e.g I’d like an NDT specialist Endochrinologist appointment please. That keeps it simple and you can steer back to if they get off track.

So impressed to hear you haven’t had issues with the Roseway NDT. Isn’t that fantastic 🙏

Thanks....it makes a big change taking a medication you actually want to take instead of dreading taking it, because you know what the outcome is going to be🤮.

I now just want to see what my bloods are after 7/8 wks, be very interesting 🤔
