Is there a really simple list of vitamins (and best times of day to take them) and a list of foods to avoid when starting out of levothyroxine?
I have such brain fog that I'm struggling to compile a plan for myself. I really need to lose the weight I've recently piled on too. Also I have ADHD so I struggle to read anything wordy and often hyperfocus on something and lose track of what I'm doing....!!
I just need someone to tell me what to do. I'm lactose intolerant. Thank yoooouuuuu.

So far you have posted vit D results. Many people here get on well with the Better You mouth spray - 1 spray is 1,000iu. Likely you would need 3 sprays a day. It also contains vit K to help it go to your bones.
Most hypo people need a B complex but better that we see your results first. Many B complexes say they are high dose but they really aren't.
A B complex contains folate. There are different forms of folate, some active, some inactive that your body needs to convert. Many people cannot make that conversion well, so the form that is better is methylfolate.
For ferritin which is the storage form of iron we usually recommend increasing foods rich in iron unless you have had a full iron panel and shown to need a supplement.

Only do private tests on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid postal delays.
Follow prep instructions carefully the day of the test.
Thanks, being honest - I've had 3 blood tests in as many weeks and I know I'll have to have another to check thyroid levels. I can't face having another one. I also don't like doing the finger prick and I've read that capillary blood is not always as accurate as venous.

So then you need to use your powers of persuasion to get your GP to include the vitamin tests when you have your thyroid levels tested next time. That would kill 2 birds with one stone.
As you now have a thyroid condition it is going to involve blood tests every few months to start with but then will settle down to once a year or so when you reach your optimal dose. Theres no way around that.
Some of the private blood test companies offer a blood draw service at an extra cost if that helps any.
There are some differences in results between capillary & venous blood draw but only for certain tests, not thyroid that I'm aware of. Many thousands of members here rely on capillary tests to see the results they need.
The NHS only rarely tests FT3 which is essential to know to see if you are converting Levo well. Sometimes it also skips FT4 and only tests TSH. Private blood tests are obligatory for some to be well.
Levo should only be taken with water with an hours gap afterwards before anything else. Some people take it first thing in the morning, for others, bedtime works well.
A B complex is usually taken in the morning as it can be stimulating, so at breakfast time.
Vit D is better with an oily meal so dinner time.
Regarding food, if you have positive antibodies and thus Hashimoto's you could try a stricty gluten free diet. Some people also benefit from going dairy free as well but try one thing at a time.
Carbohydrates make some people feel worse so try cutting back on too many carbs and increase protein.
I’m worried about l lycine as used to take it then I got gallstones. Always pros and cons, solgar do a plant based lower dose amino acid. I’ve not tired one yet, but heard it really helps.
Vit d, b complex etc has never lifted any brain fog.
