How long to stop multivitamins & biotin etc before iron panel blood test

Hi,

Just a quickie as have searched & can't see the info. Ordered a medichecks iron panel blood test & how long prior to the test do I have to stop multivitamins etc that contain iron and biotin?

If any of your supplements contain iron stop taking it for about 5 - 7 days before the test.

Also on the day before the test don't eat a very high iron dinner e.g. a full English Breakfast or a liver dinner.

Also, fast for 12 hours before the blood is drawn, except for water which should be drunk freely.

Do the blood draw first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything except water.
