Does anyone have any experience with Acella / ERFA NDT?
Curious...have this ever been recalled? Does anyone know any history of these?
I am looking to purchase my NDT, I usually have Nature Throid but as you are aware it's currently unavailable.
Armour is so much more expensive.
I have also been looking into ERFA but the pharmacy where I get my meds from doesn't stock it.
If anyone knows where I can potentially obtain this from ,( without a prescription) would you please send me a private message...I am researching best prices.
Thank you.

Ive been on acella NP Thyroid for several years. Its good. There was some talk about the taste changing but Ive not noticed. Erfa changed labs amd countries a few years back and their product changed......I like others became ill on it so had to switch.
I first became unwell 17yrs ago, diagnosed with CFS when really it was hypothyroidism......its a long story but went through a long process but found ndts are the best for me. Iam well on Acella..
Well Im amazed.......! Especially as Ive had to reduce my dose by half a grain not increase it-this most likely to my b12 levels being addressed with injections increasing uptake. This is the second recall, not fourth as someone states, if one reads the link. The first was because of super potency. My pharmacy (uk) when I talked to them said with such a small amount of difference they dont notify patients as it wouldnt make a difference. Personally I did notice it after a time and reduced my intake by an eigth of one tablet (took four one grain tablets at the time). Frankly I didnt think it was a biggy. I will see what my pharmacy have to say about the latest recall as this seems to be across the range of all the strengths s and is therefore more serious. Ive got to say we have had ndts for over a hundred years and it only seems to be recent years there are issues. Is this big pharma at work......theyd love to see the back of ndts as they would then have a monopoly. NDTs are considered a grandfather as they are a natural product so big pharma doesnt have the same patent over them as the synthetics......who actually have had multiple recalls pver the years for strength variations. Ndts were not governed by the same regulations as synthetics but I think this has changed causing all the rumpus. Much as I think the Stopthethyroidmadness is a useful site Ive been shocked at their condemmnation of all ndts in recent years. Some of us need ndts -if you are like me and didnt get on well with the synthectic options including Liothyronine.
