Hi everyone ❤️
Just posting this, as some members who have been following my struggle with thyroid medication these past 4 years, I decided to discontinue the T4 teva, the silly endo put me back on after taking me off the t3 which was not working due to gastric issues, forgetting also that teva t4 did the same 🙄.
She obviously has no bedside manner whatsoever, and I found her obnoxious and rude, she told me to seek out another endocrinologist as she herself would now be dismissing me, and didn't want to see me as a patient again, writing this in her report😡.
I now have a new endo appointment but not until June, I've now been off thyroid medication since January 31st (I have no thyroid 🤦) and we're told it's OK not to take thyroid medication 🤦.
I spoke to the thyroid /parathyroid surgeon on March 6th (im under this surgeon for primary hyperparathyroidism, just so there's no confusion, she's looking into my thyroid medication).
On my 4DCT scan the mass of (14 x 7 x 21) above the right thyroid bed and into the thyroglossal tract as shown as vascular... meaning it may be producing thyroid hormones (a long shot!! , but it as been known) the surgeon's words!
My surgery refused any futher blood tests eventho I've been without thyroid medication since January 31st, the surgeon in Liverpool was appalled at this, and as today sent a blood form for all thyroid bloods including antibodies 👍.
Interestingly enough I actually spoke to a gp on match 15th..(excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor 😂).. I mentioned the vencamil, shockingly she as prescribed the medication, but I was perplexed by her next question... "How will you take this medicine" because they only come in 100mg.." Yes doctor I know that, I have a pill cutter so I will cut the pills down to manageable sizes.. Grains"
Dr... "Ho can you do that".😮
Me..."yes plenty of thyroid sufferers split there medication in to smaller doses".
I also mentioned the surgery should be doing blood tests, as I've not been on any thyroid medication since January 31st 🤦 and that the surgeon in Liverpool as requested, by form all thyroid and antibodie thyroid bloods to be done BEFORE I start on the vencamil, as she wants to see if this mass is producing ANY thyroid hormones 👍.
Now the gp as 💩 herself (sorry🤭) she as now said.. "ho yes you definitely do need thyroid and antibody thyroid bloods done"
But nowhere as she said they will do minerals and vitamins or B12 or any other bloods I feel since I've been off thyroid medication I'd probably be lacking in certain things, my B12 was 312 a couple of years ago and as never been tested since, and my cortisol was 175 in the grey zone (endos words) had that short test in hospital which read.. No futher action( in 2020) not tested since🙄
So can I ask.. Should I get my thyroid bloods done at my local hospital (surgeon said I can go to hospital or gps surgery) then ask my gp to do all minerals and vitamins, cortisol, B12 ect?.. I just can't imagine the look on there faces if I demand what's on the blood form from Liverpool, then jauntly ask for minerals and vitamins and the rest to be done... I can hear ABBA I the background... MONEY, MONEY, MONEY.. 😂💸 anyway all I can say is I'm very grateful for this surgeon in Liverpool who seems to be far more interested in my health than my own surgery 🙄
