I had some blood tests as im feeling really exhausted running on empty and really cold all the time. I enclose the results which all look normal could it be low cortisol which I had done a year ago. I've been through major stress and operation plus other health problems. Vit D was 94.5 had done in Nov 2023. Also menopausal so get sweats and hot flushes in between.

It was 9.50 the earliest I could get and I had small breakfast. I'm not on any Thyroid treatment.

I did the other tests in 2022 when my Thyroid went bit iffy and they were normal. I haven't had a ultrasound of the Thyroid. I had to come of hrt a year ago and had a total hysterectomy including ovaries removed because of womb cancer. I'm wondering if its the adrenal fatigue?

Hi France92. I had a hysterectomy some years back and I'm sure that not long after that I started having more pronounced thyroid problems. I've read some research papers that say a hysterectomy can trigger autoimmune thyroid issues. I'll see if I can find the papers again.

Can I ask why you had to come off HRT? As you had a total hysterectomy then your symptoms are likely caused by your hard menopause.

If you are definitely unable to take HRT (and I’d want to be absolutely sure if I were you), there is advice on managing symptoms individually on Balance website. For example there is alternative medication for hot flushes.

Sorry just saw reply re: womb cancer. So that’s the reason. Sorry to hear that and hope you’re doing ok now in terms of the cancer. You’ve been through a lot and that could certainly account for current symptoms. I’d still recommend Balance for advice on trying to deal with some of them, and be kind to yourself because it takes time (a lot of time) to recover from major surgery like that.
