Hi there - as someone who has had to monitor their health with supplements for over 55 years - can I just offer you my thoughts on this - first of all you have to know where these products are coming from - i.e. the company has to be a reputable company where the ingredients are made in a lab environment - also the amount of magnesium is too high in my opinion - magnesium particularly where someone has a metabolic problem could cause a problem if the respiratory system is depressed particularly at night. This might help -

Hope this helps

Thanks, the dose is for 2 capsules so had thought of just taking 1?

This is the rub with buying any supplement isn't it, they can have a lovely website and claim all they like about purity and ethical but it isn't necessarily true is it 😕

I assume the use of these stamps are governed in some way 🤷‍♀️

I used one that had 8 types in, started off a as powder with a little scoop, then they bought out a capsule version, it was also from a well known online mega store 😁.

I used it for a few months but they kept increasing the price, even on subscribe and save and eventually I got to thinking that was the amount of each individual magnesium compound too small to really be helpful.

I've use Malate before as I have Fibro but these days I take glycinate before bed and I do think it helps. I cant help wondering if just taking a decent amount of your particular preference isnt ultimately more beneficial.

Hmmm... they do target specific areas, the L-Threonate certainly makes for sharper thinking having previously used a complex without it I wouldn't drop that one

I like the idea of a little bit of everything and then less danger of overdoing it 🤷‍♀️

I have just looked at mine. It’s Magnesium only. No idea whether I get benefit from it or not! Whereas taking the citrate I definitely noticed a difference.

I am going back to the drawing board on this. Again, so much to learn! There is a company called British Supplements where they guarantee ‘clean’. I have ordered twice (other substances) now from recommendations on the forum and each time I received it said “Don’t take if you have …”. Too lazy to send them back.

posthinking01 got me wondering about depression of respiratory system - I have to use a CPAP machine. Just wondering.

Interesting the mention of vasospastic angina. I think I need a better quality/different combo as it does not seem to be helping with the vasospastic angina which I would love to be helped. Not addressed by my present intake. Very interesting. Thank you.

There could be a lot of reasons for your angina including prescription drugs you may be taking

I would like to think so but I have been having it for over 25 years - undiagnosed hypothyroidism I think. Not on anything other than levo (which definitely helped a bit) and Amlodipine (also helped a bit). Onwards and upwards.
