I wondered if it's OK to take a maintenance dose of D Mannose close to levothyroxine? I take levothyroxine before bed and would like to take D Mannose in the evening too.

D mannose
It's always said that levo is a fussy one and prefers to be alone, could you not take one or the other when you get up for a pee?
Perhaps controversially, I’d say it would be absolutely fine to take within an hour of each other. D-mannose is essentially a derivative of a sugar (it’s a mono-saccharide), albeit a fun version that seems to stop bacteria sticking to the bladder wall.
If it was to make your levothyroxine slightly less effective doing this, I’d say it would be by a fraction of 1%, if that. And avoiding a UTI is well worth it.
Are you taking D Mannose as a preventative versus trying to solve a current UTI? - if the latter then it is usual to use it 2 or 3 times a day until things resolve. I've taken the powder, maybe capsule dosing is different.
One thing I think I've learned about "apparent" UTIs is that the genito-urinary system has oestrogen receptors and as oestrogen drops (with age) this is a cause of UTIs that don't respond (or actually need) antibiotics.
Following a problem some years ago I had recurrent UTIs , diagnosed by urine testing, and I'm trying everything to prevent this starting again!
Thank you for the clarification - my personal experience has shown D Mannose to be very effective, simple and without side effects.
I hope you keep properly hydrated throughout the day - that's so important for healthy excretions.
Hi Jenned, like Blissful I have found D-mannose highly effective, simple and without side effects, quite remarkable in fact because I've had UTIs since age 11 and tried D-mannose for the first time last May and haven't had a UTI since. Mine was Cytoclean which has cranberries too, it came in handy sachets, and I took one each evening for a month and by the end of the month no pain, no problems and, now return. I hope it's the same for you too.
