What time are you taking your bit D?

Some people find that taking D3 in the evening can affect their sleep, so it's recommended to take earlier in the day if that is the case. What time are you taking yours?

Before 12 in the morning

That would be fine for most people.

What type of D3 supplement are you taking?

Nutri D3 melts 2000iu

That supplement has an awful lot of "other ingredients", could any of those be causing a problem?

Mannitol

Xylitol

Sodiumcarboxymethylcellulose

Lemon juice powder

Hydroxypropylcellulose

Lemon flavour

Citric acid

Magnesium stearate

Flavour

Silicon dioxide

Steviol glycosides

Unless there is Hashi's present, then I would only ever suggest a softgel containing only 2 ingredients - D3 and extra virgin olive oil to aid absorption.

Improving low vitamin D can increase your need for B vitamins

See this helpful website

As well as tests for menopause, ask for vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin too along with TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus thyroid antibodies if not been tested yet

All thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Do not take Levothyroxine dose in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take immediately after blood draw. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

How low was vitamin D? How much are you supplementing?

Are you taking magnesium too?

I was told by my Endo that Vitamin D is fat soluble and that if your meal has no fat then to take Vit D with a slice of buttered toast.I take my thyroid meds at 7.00 am and Vit D mid morning with toast or at lunchtime.
