This may be a long one so hope you are sitting comfortably.
1/11/23. TSH 0.005. (0.27-4.2). T3 - 6 (3.1-6.8). T4 - 21.3 (12-22) (T4 50mcg T3 5mcg x 3)
26/1/24. TSH 0.005. T3 -5.3 T4 19.2 (T4 75mcg. T3 2.5mcg x 2)
Have I got room for an increase in T3 as I still don’t feel wonderful? I don’t want to be top of the range as I really felt over medicated but I’m really slow at the moment. These results and medication may look a little strange but I’ve been on DHEA and I think it’s improved my uptake or made some sort of difference. Also I was struggling with T3 having gone a little fast on changes so we went back to a lower dose to reset and it’s been a much better experience this time around. A lesson learned for me. I’ll do a separate post on DHEA in a moment.
I will say that my vitamins are not good. They were not looking brilliant last July and I’ve done very little to improve them. I’m rubbish at taking them, don’t know why when they could potentially make me feel so much better! I’ve even got them all in the cupboard 🙄😳🤯. I am now keen to get them on track and this time I’m determined.
Recently I’ve been feeling every 67 nearly 68 years and some days it’s more like 88!!!! Time to make a difference.
So, question is can I go a little higher with T3? I’m thinking 2.5mcg and 5mcg but when should I take the higher one. Currently taking 2.5 at 12 noon and 4:00 pm as Dr thought this would help with low cortisol. These are not friendly times to be honest and it’s often more like 1:30 and 5pm!
Thank you for getting to the end without falling asleep and thank you so much for ongoing help.
