I have just received a text from the docter saying my Endocroniologist has cacelled my appt as my levels were in range 29th Dec on an A and E blood test. I am so mad, i told them not to test me for TSH at the time as i had eaten and it was mid day. They are now ignosing my private blood test as this was done later. Its gas lighting - any excuse not to see me as a patient. Its so unfair. Even this test was 2.95. Getting so fed up with it all.

I feel your frustration. But, the endo probably wouldn't have been of any help, anyway. Doubtful he would have known that the TSH would have been higher before 9 am. None of them do. Nor would he have known that 2.95 was too high, because it would have been in-range. He would just have said you were 'normal'. So, that would have been a waste of your time. Just because he has a fancy title - Endocrinologist - doesn't mean he has a clue.

There are no thyroid consultants. Well, they're very, very rare. There are just diabetes 'specialists' that think they know something about thyroid but actually know less than us.

Probably the best way to diss that result is to say you had been taking B complex containing biotin before the test as they will be ignorant to the time of day etc... request a repeat blood test to re-instate the Endo appointment 🤗

It’s just so irritating that we need 2 out of range results to get treatment but 1 vaguely in range and we are cured and struck off 🤬

Thanks, i done that now. Scan Thursday of my neck - if no joy i will have to pay for a specialist, not that i can afford one or am completely cirtain of whats wrong with me. But if the scans clear i will have to try something. My neck and face are bigger by the day.

I have an ultrasound tomorrow. If nothing shows up there im going to a private Endocrinologist. As now told to wait one year on the NHS since the incorrect TSH test.
