I am on 75 mcgs of T4 and 12.5 T3 for the past 2 months. Have been doing fairly well, but this morning I am feeling jittery and my blood pressure unusally high for me this morning. My last blood tests showed TSH .062 (.45 - 4.5) FT4 1,29 (.82 - 1,77 FT3 (2.6 (2.0 - 4.4) one month ago. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Anyway.
Free T4 (fT4) 1.29 pmol/L (.82 - 1.77) 49.5%
Free T3 (fT3) 2.6 pmol/L (2 - 4.4) 25.0%
Only increase either Levo or T3 otherwise you wont know whats doing what. You could increase T3 by 5mcgs but you haven't said what dose you are currently on.
I believe that I did say what dose of T3 that I am taking...........12.5 daily.
Only increase by 1/4 tablet T3.
hmm, I guess I'm totally confused......I was under the impression that being jittery and an increase in heart rate is a sign of over medication?
There is a very large overlap between hyer & hypo symptoms hence its best to go by blood results rather than symptoms.
Thank you jaydee ........I currently have 25 mcg tablets......which are very small.......I cut them in half and take a half a day (12.5 a day) ......so you suggest I cut the 12.5 in half and then take about 18.5 daily? Wow.....it will be a bit difficult cutting that little 12.5 in half. I guess that .......based on my most recent blood test results.......that you feel there is room to boost my FT3 to the upper end of the range.
There is certainly room to increase T3. Your current dose of 75 mcgs of T4 and 12.5 T3 is relatively low for a male and your results are reflecting that.
Could you get hold of a smaller dose of T3 tablets?
I will have to contact my supplier of T3 and see if I can change my recent order for more of the 25 mcgs........to smaller doses...........or, just put in another order for smaller doses. I sure wish my GP would prescribe them for me, but she can't prescribe the T3.....I would have to see an endo doctor for that.........and there are no endos in my area, unfortunately.
I would also split the 12.5mcg as 2 x 6.25mcg
Cut tablets into 1/4’s using sharp craft scalpel
Store spare 1/4’s in pill dispenser
Try 1/4 tablet waking, 1/4 tablet mid afternoon and 1/4 tablet at bedtime
Many people find small dose T3 at bedtime improves sleep and is calming
If you find that keeps you awake…..try 6am, noon and 6pm
After few weeks try creeping 2nd and 3rd doses later
OK, slowdragon.......I guess I have been dosing myself incorrectly.......I have been taking the Levo and the T3 at the same time at 5 a m ........and none for the rest of the day. If the T3 needs to be divided up into 3 doses, that tells me that t he T3 does not stay in your system very long. Also, taking the 12.5 T3 at one time might be too much. I'll try dividing the dose. Thanks very much for your suugestion. Much appreciated.
You say that these new Symptoms appeared over night but your condition and medication has been stable for two months. Please do remember that other bugs, viruses and conditions are available. Also your bloods are now one month old and so could be well different to current state, I would suggest getting new bloods done before altering medication doses, especially as you have been stable for the last two months.
