OMG , just had telephone appointment with GP

Have been trying to get an appointment for couple of weeks. End of last week called in to surgery to chase SAR, not going there again 🤯 any how asked for appointment , none available, surprise but did get telephone slot for this morning.

Rang at 10.10 to check why my 09.45 hadn't happened, checking it hadn't been put as an in surgery appointment, has happened before. So 10.15 got call. Went quite well, didn't come across as the usual level of patronising, discussed wanting blood tests for RA, seemed open to my reasoning appeared to take on board my view. I have been lulled into a false sense of security before, so will see how it plays out. She says yes she will request tests for RA, anti ccp, TFT's various vits and various bloods , pointed out I do private bloods when can afford as NHS tests are not comprehensive, told her my CRP has been raised for some time and on 9/10 it was 10.23 <5. She seemed clued up, well as compared to others I have had dealings with there. Says to go in and see them when results are back, to go through everything , if positive referral to Rheumatologist , if not look at overall picture of symptoms and could still be referred for opinion. So booked BT as earliest app is 6/11 at 08.15. So we shall see, we can but hope, but won't hold breath 🤫
